Here’s what to expect when you visit one of Arusha’s top attractions.
Napuru is located about 30 minutes from Arusha CBD on the slopes of Mt Meru. It is easy to find on Google Maps. The road there is mostly unpaved but can be handled even with a saloon. Entrance fee depends on your Nationality. Happily, East Africans get charged local rates.
The hike is about 1.5kms and takes around 2 hours because of the descent, ascent and numerous stops you will have to take in the views.
These steps are a recent addition. They make the hike much more manageable.
After the hike down to the river, you’ll walk for a few hundred metres against the river flow to the water fall. Prepare to get your feet wet and take time to take in the nature that you will be immersed in.
