In many African countries, Community Health Workers form the backbone of national health systems. Without people like Founèba Traoré who move door to door providing medical care in their communities, many people would have to travel for many kilometres to receive healthcare. This is how I got to tell her story.
Filming for this project was done in November 2022, and the final documentaries shared by USAID for World Malaria Day in March 2023. Below is a behind the scenes look at the filming, and the two documentaries created.
The Photography
Apart from delivering the two documentaries above, I was also tasked with creating images that would accompany Founèba’s story. These images helped tell the story on many USAID communication platforms.
