If you live in Kenya and have never been to the Mara, you should make a point of visiting this wonder.
Mara’s vast open landscapes will take your breath away, literally. Some places are flat for miles upon miles, with a single tree popping out of the grassy plains, as you’ll see in this week’s wallpaper. And at this time of the year, millions of grazers visit from Tanzania – no visa’s required – in search for greener pastures.
I’m yet to experience a Mara river crossing though. Those are rare. You can camp at the bank for hours waiting for some chomp action in vain. If you want to witness one, make it your agenda for the day, and pray to God that the grazers decide to cross when you are there. I hear its a sight you have to experience.
Go on and #TembeaKenya.
