This is another Mavuno wedding that I was privileged to cover, this time with the assistance of Mark (@marknduati) and Marcus (@marcusolang), two guys packing some serious photographic talent.
Frank and Nene’s wedding was full of joy from start to finish. You could sense it from the air of excitement on the day, and taste it in their very apparent joy. It was nice seeing two people who look so reserved on normal days open up and express their happiness as they made their life-long vows.
Shooting the wedding was an easy joy as they were open to ideas. Like the shot in traffic – that was totally unplanned! We were moving at snail’s pace along Lang’ata Road and when I suggested we take the shots, they were walking in the middle of the road before I had even set up for the shot! The last shot in this post was quite tricky. Shot at 1920hrs, I have Mark and Marcus to thank for helping with the strobing.
Two things stood out for me: when we were done shooting, Nene asked to preview some of the photos we’d taken – I have never seen a bride overjoyed! There’s nothing more rewarding than making a couple happier on their wedding day. Secondly, when editing the photos, there was an unexplainable flow, ease and joy as I worked – I’ll call it Holy Spirit inspiration!
Frank and Nene, thank you, thank you, thank you for allowing Mark, Marcus and I to be part of your big day.
This was a lovely shoot and we had a blast.
Love the staircase shot!
Art is the grandchild of creation & this marriage manifested its beauty. Great work Mwarv & Crew! Congratulations Nene & family!
