OnetouchLive Lake Nakuru

It had been five months since I’d been on a OnetouchLive and my body showed it. There was greying around my trigger finger, with the occasional shivering of the skin around the elbows whenever I saw an overland truck on the highway. So when the opportunity to tour Lake Nakuru National Park with Onetouch came up, I quickly jumped on it and into my car, camera, tripod, tent and all.

We got to the park after sundown and immediately headed for Makalia Campsite, which was where we were to pitch tent. We prepared dinner and while at the bonfire, shared stories into the smaller hours of the morning.

The following day after breakfast, we broke camp and ventured into the park to see the beauty it held. First stop was Makalia Falls, which after the seasonal rains had soothed us to sleep.

Even though Lake Nakuru has lions and leopards, it is hard to spot them during the day as they shelter from the heat. So during our game drive, we were very content with seeing the other attractions at the park.

Some of these guys had cameras that made ours look like pinhole cameras.

A special thank you to the guys at KWELI for this video of the trip.

As usual, I’m looking forward to the next OnetouchLive.
