African Screens 10 – Tsavo Elephants Crossing

It’s the tenth African Screens wallpaper and so far, so exciting… and tiring too! It takes a lot of commitment to put out a different image each week but I must say, rewarding too! Spurred on by your kind comments, and the desire to shot how blessed Africa is, we will push on! Much respect to Mutua Matheka who inspired me to start this and is now on his 136th giveaway. This week, we move to Kenya’s coast province and into Tsavo West National Park. I shot this family of elephants last year when driving on the A23 that goes from Taveta on the Kenya-Tanzania border to Voi. It was a lonely 100km-plus drive with beautiful landscapes and many elephants, like this family of eight.
