Change and Lydia’s Wedding

I love the way photography has panned out for me in the last two years. Apart from improving in my craft, I am thankful to God for the connections I’ve made.

First, with clients who started off as strangers and ended up as friends as family; and photographers too, who started off as competitors then after realising there is more than enough work to go round several times, ended up as close as family as well.

Change and Lydia’s wedding presented both situations. Kevin Ouma whom I met in 2011 had been asked to shoot a wedding in his family but decided to call me up and have me shoot it instead. That is when I met Change over coffee at Java and he shared what he and his fiancee wanted for their wedding. A couple of weeks later, I met Lydia at their pre-wedding shoot at Kenya High, their wedding location. Another couple of weeks later, we were back at Boma, dancing until sunset on their wedding day. Several days later, we met at Arboretum to shoot photos we didn’t capture on the wedding day because we’d danced too much. On this day, I had @WamuyuK to assist with the strobing.

Thank You Father for this gift you’ve given me, and the many friends and family I’ve made using it.
